Athena stood up with the help of her PT/OT therapists. Amee came to visit today and I haven’t seen Athena laugh this much in ages,
I had the most wonderful visit today with Athena. We laughed and talked for hours. She laughed at my jokes and rolled her eyes at my not so funny jokes. Athena even joked around with me. She understands and comprehends everything. I was glad to see that Athena is completely aware of everything going on around her and regarding her. She was assertive with her needs to both the staff and myself. It was awesome to see her mentally as the same ole Athena that I know and love. It is clear that she has been working hard and I am so very proud of her.
